Starting her 20‐year healthcare career first as a Physiotherapist at the National University Hospital, Shiu Ling moved on to corporate roles such as Strategic Planning and Business Development, Operations Management, Performance Management and developed the SGH Campus Education Office.
Shiu Ling joined Assisi Hospice as Chief Executive Officer in November 2015.
Clin Asst Prof Peh Tan Ying

Dr Peh Tan Ying is the Clinical Director of Assisi Hospice and Senior Consultant in the Division of Supportive and Palliative Care, National Cancer Centre Singapore. She sits on the Palliative Medicine Integrated Programme Residency Advisory Committee (RAC) and the Joint Committee for Specialist Training (JCST) Exit Exam Committee. As the Chairperson of the Singapore Hospice Council Healthcare Professionals Committee and Education Director of the SingHealth Duke-NUS Supportive and Palliative Care Centre (SDSPCC), she is dedicated to advancing both undergraduate and postgraduate palliative care education and training in Singapore.
Ms Chiew Cheng Fong

Cheng Fong has been in nursing for 41 years; having worked in both restructured hospitals and Intermediate Long Term Care sector. Her job experiences include both management and clinical roles. Previously, she has worked as a chemotherapy nurse clinician and also taken on the role of Operating Theatre Nurse Manager.
Ms Jennifer Lum

She holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the National University of Singapore and is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants. She has 30 years of accounting experience and had worked in the audit, banking, F&B, security service and aviation industries.
Clin Asst Prof Gwendoline Soh

Dr Gwendoline Soh is a Senior Consultant with the Division of Supportive & Palliative Care, National Cancer Centre Singapore and the SingHealth Duke-NUS Supportive & Palliative Care Centre. She underwent her postgraduate internal medicine physician training and completed her postgraduate advanced specialist training in Palliative Medicine in Australia. She has a keen interest the provision of person-centered care and in the Palliative Medicine education and training.
Clin Asst Prof Ong Eng Koon

Dr Ong is a Senior Consultant at the Division of Supportive and Palliative Care, National Cancer Centre Singapore. He is also Head, Medical Services (Homecare) at Assisi Hospice. As a clinical-educator, Dr Ong's interests are in the topics of Professionalism, Ethics, Communications and Humanities at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Ms Jacinta Phoon

Jacinta graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from NUS and subsequently obtained her Graduate Diploma in Social Work. She also holds a MSc in Palliative Care from King’s College. Currently she is a Master Medical Social Worker and has been working in medical and healthcare settings since 1999. In addition, Jacinta has been lecturing on the subject of counselling at Temasek Polytechnic since 2002.
Prior to Assisi, Jacinta was the Clinical and Education Lead at National Cancer Centre for the past 9 years.
Ms Juliet Ng

Ms Ann Neo

Prior to Assisi Hospice, Ann used to work at John Wiley & Sons Singapore Pte Ltd as Associate Director, Information Technology & Relationship Manager, whereby she led a team of IT professionals in delivering and maintaining Wiley’s online products, applications and data centre. She is a goal-oriented and forward thinking technology professional with years of experience in strategic planning and execution, project management, IT services, process reengineering, business analysis, solutions delivery, solutions research and implementation and vendor management. Her 22 years of IT working experience spans across various industries like publishing, real estate and property management, e-commerce and IT consultancy services.

Ms Karen Poon

Karen joined Assisi Hospice as Mission Director in 2014. A lay associate of the Franciscan Missionaries of the Divine Motherhood (FMDM) congregation, she also oversees the Clinical Pastoral Care department. Previously, she held appointments as Brand Director and Head of Strategic Marketing for financial institutions and not-for-profit organisations. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore.
Ms Sheena Low

Sheena graduated with Bachelor of Science with Honours in Occupational Therapy at Singapore Institute of Technology. She has been working as an occupational therapist since 2013 in a restructured hospital before joining Assisi Hospice. As an occupational therapist, she values the need to understand patients' occupational patterns and occupations that are important to patients. Currently, she has taken the lead to envision how palliative day care model should look like in Singapore and believes that patients can still live meaningfully with a serious illness.
